AVC campus is located in the heart of Islamabad. The facility is centrally air-conditioned and the library and computer laboratories are an integral part of the teaching and learning support provided to students. On campus, students may expect to spend time in course-related activities including classes, group study, personal study, community service and public gatherings, sports and socialising in the cafeteria.
The Library
Although our facility is always there to help our students, advanced education, is also about learning to work by and for yourself. The LSE External Programme is based around the idea of a high level of independent study.
To meet with the information needs of the students and the faculty, the college has an adequate collection of books and other reading material. The Library routinely subscribes to various national and international magazines and journals. Being a member of the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, AVC receives copies of all publications and research papers related to social sciences. Clippings of relevant articles from various publications are filed for student and teacher reference.
Computer Labs
The application of computers to support teaching and learning is an integral part of AVC courses. Students are encouraged to develop a high level of IT skills relevant to their academic discipline. Specific software is provided to support their coursework.
Qualified computer professionals extend computer support services to the students. Internet facilities are available to all students throughout the year.
